We will send representatives of Belarusian major companies to Tajikistan to study the possibilities for setting up new joint ventures, Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko said as he met with Tajikistan President Emomali Rahmon who is on a working visit to Belarus, BelTA has learned.

The Belarusian president stressed that he thought a lot about the way the two countries need to develop relations.


Negotiations during the CSTO summit in Minsk proceeded in an open and principled manner. Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko made the statement during the plenary session of the CSTO Collective Security Council meeting in Minsk on 30 November, BelTA has learned.

Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko is expected to hold official talks with his Kazakhstan counterpart Nursultan Nazarbayev on 29 November. The Kazakhstan president will be paying an official visit to Belarus on 29-30 November, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

The visit will take place as the two countries are marking 25 years of the diplomatic relations between Belarus and Kazakhstan in 2017.


Belarus has an interest in joint tourism projects with Europe and China, Belarusian Prime Minister Andrei Kobyakov noted at the Central Eastern European Countries and China (CEEC-China 16+1) Summit of heads of government in Budapest on 27 November, BelTA informs.

Andrei Kobyakov put forward an initiative on creating a tourism corridor that would connect sixteen Central and Eastern European countries and China via Belarus.


On 23 November Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko signed the ordinance on entrepreneurship development, which is the key document in the package of regulations designed to improve the country's business climate, the press service of the head of state told BelTA.

The ordinance will radically change the way government agencies interact with private companies. It will minimize the interference of government officials with the operation of commercial entities.


Mechanisms of the Eurasian Economic Union are not used in full measure to resolve disputes concerning Belarusian food export to Russia. The statement was made by State Secretary of the Union State of Belarus and Russia Grigory Rapota on the sidelines of the expert and media forum held in Moscow on 22 November to discuss humanitarian partnership in the Union State, BelTA has learned.

The official said: We have not fully used the available mechanism for resolving various disputes.
