Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko talked about results of three hours of private negotiations with the Uzbek head of state during the expanded-participation talks with Uzbekistan President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on 13 September, BelTA has learned.

Alexander Lukashenko said: The key result of our negotiations I want members of the government, high-ranking officials on both sides to hear it is we've agreed that Belarus has no topics, which are closed for discussion or for consequent actions.


Belarus-Uzbekistan relations have exceeded all the expectations in the past two years, Uzbekistan President Shavkat Mirziyoyev said as he met with his Belarusian counterpart Alexander Lukashenko on 13 September, BelTA has learned.

In his words, the last meeting between the two leaders took place in Samarkand two years ago. Then the parties agreed on the official visit of the Belarusian head of state to Uzbekistan.


The 13th Belarusian international media forum Partnership for the Future: Digital Agenda for Media Space will be held in Minsk and Minsk Oblast on 11-14 September, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Information Ministry.

Taking part in the media forum will be about 300 representatives of nearly 30 CIS and non-CIS states, including Germany, France, Austria, Bulgaria, the United States, Israel and others.

Belarus has started a vigorous dialogue on acceding to the World Trade Organization's Government Procurement Agreement (GPA), BelTA learned from the WTO Secretariat representative Anna Caroline Muller on 3 September.

The WTO Secretariat representative said: “Belarus has lately taken considerable steps to join the WTO and has started rather vigorously the dialogue on the possible potential accession to the Government Procurement Agreement.
